The Montclair State University Shuttle Bus Services is introducing a better way to catch the bus. Using our Global Positioning System, the location of every MSU Shuttle Bus on every route is just a click away for students, staff and faculty. Allowing up to the minute bus location information, simply click on the desired color coded route. Shuttle Bus locations are continuously updated.

How It Works

The Montclair State University Shuttle Bus Service buses are fitted with small radio transmitters and computers, which receive signals and calculate the bus locations based on transmissions they receive from satellites 13,000 miles above the earth. The radio then transmits the calculated bus location to the data center over the cellular network.

At the data center, bus location, route map and schedule data are combined and stored for display on our site for you to see.
